My principles of Aesthetics
As of now, I have seven:
-
A curator should serve its visitors first, the art object comes second
-
Each installation should be curated for the benefit of an individual, not of a group.
-
A frame should enhance the viewer’s aesthetic experience.
-
A curator cultivates his compassion and renounces his taste.
-
A museum guard protects the visitor before the art object.
-
The viewer is more fragile then the art he or she faces.
-
Aesthetic enlightenment is the end, and all the rest is means.
