My principles of Aesthetics

As of now, I have seven:

  1. A curator should serve its visitors first, the art object comes second

  2. Each installation should be curated for the benefit of an individual, not of a group.

  3. A frame should enhance the viewer’s aesthetic experience.

  4. A curator cultivates his compassion and renounces his taste.

  5. A museum guard protects the visitor before the art object.

  6. The viewer is more fragile then the art he or she faces.

  7. Aesthetic enlightenment is the end, and all the rest is means.
